Why should I aerate my lawn and how often? |
 |
Aerating once a year is encouraged especially if you have heavy clay soil. Consistent annual aerating will loosen soil compaction, promote root growth, and decrease heavy thatch. |

When is the best time for aeration? |
|
Any time the soils are soft enough for pulling a soil plug. Late season is when we do the majority of our aeration's. The main objective of aerating is to relieve soil compaction and to promote root growth. The fall and winter season is the ideal time for this, because the plant carbohydrates are utilized in the roots and not the plant leaf. Also, avoid aerating in the spring if crabgrass pre-emergent is applied. The penetrating tines of the aerator will puncture through the pre-emergent barrier that prevents crabgrass from growing. |

STANDARD PLUS PROGRAM ~ Our Best ~
This is our most inclusive program with good reason. It consists of 7 service visits during the season, which include 5 Weed & Feed treatments, 1 Grub Control treatment and 1 Core Aeration. With this program, both the Grub Control and the Core Aeration are discounted 20% from their normal cost.

MODIFIED/CUSTOM PROGRAM ~ Limited Protection ~
Programs other than a Standard or Standard Plus program will fall under Modified/Custom Program. Please understand the Modified/Custom programs are limited and we cannot guarantee 100% control or long term results with any Modified/Custom program. Also, Crabgrass control, Grub control, Aeration and other important lawn services are NOT included with this program. Additionally, the price per application for this program is not the same as our Standard programs.
